As the former editor of Heat magazine, Mark Frith has encountered his fair share of celebrity good and bad behaviour over the years.
Frith, who is only 37, left the magazine earlier this year to publish The Celeb Diaries, a tell-all book about his experiences.
In an exclusive interview, Mark shares with us how George Clooney is not your your average film star, Jodie Marsh is her own worst enemy and why he thinks Victoria Beckham is lovely.
Here's Mark on some of his favourite - and least favourite - stars...
Victoria Beckham: “She’s a lot of fun and a great character and I like her a hell of a lot.”
Ewen McGregor: “Has often had a dig at me and the magazine and doesn’t particularly like what we do, but a lot of film stars don’t like it because film stars are used to being quite closeted.”
George Clooney: “George Clooney was brilliant, he’s not like your typical film star.”
Jack Black: “(has) a real sense of humour about himself, admits that he does daft things, I mean he was the guy who famously gave away that Brad and Angelina were having twins and that wouldn’t have happened to any other film star because they are so protected.”
Kerry Katona: “She was a bit defensive in the first interview where she denied (taking drugs) and that was frustrating. It was one of those interesting clashes that you get in interviews.”
Jodie Marsh: “Jodie Marsh is her own worst enemy. The famous example was where we interviewed her and the journalist got back to office, went on the blog and she’d slagged him off and we were helping to promote her programme so that was just bizarre?”
Jordan: “Has shown the real her and (audiences) saw her fall in love. People have a strong feeling towards others when they see them genuine and real.”
Helen Mirren: “Helen Mirren’s confession about taking coke, I mean she’s another one. I love them when they’re real. I want celebrities to be real”
Big Brother: “I think clearly Big Brother is going through some problems and they need to re-invent it next year. I think the casting hasn’t been very good this year. Or it could be that just everything has its day and its done. I don’t know. It’s bounced back from all sorts of dramas and slumps.”
Michael Parkinson: “I love Michael Parkinson. The stereotype of a gruff Yorkshire man, well he is it! He is direct and down to earth.”
