Jade Goody To Appear On Shilpa Shetty's Indian Big Brother

Jade Goody is set to appear on the Indian version of Big Brother, two years after she was accused of being racist to fellow contestant Shilpa Shetty.

The 27-year old became a hate figure in Britain and India after referring to the Bollywood actress as ‘Shilpa Poppadom’, which resulted in 54,000 complaints to Ofcom and Channel 4, not to mention public burnings of Jade effigies.

But in a bizarre twist, she is being offered £50,000 plus expenses on the two-week programme, called Big Boss.

A source close to Jade tells the Daily Mail: “For Jade, it's a chance to show that she is not a racist.

“She is the first to admit that she did have her problems with Shilpa, but this will be like a role reversal and a chance to show India and the world what she is really like.”
