For all those of you who thought Tom Cruise was sick of making Mission Impossible movies, think again! The pint-sized Hollywood actor has officially signed up for the fifth installment of the hugely successful franchise - meaning Ethan Hunt will be back in cinemas soon.
Yup, it's official; Tom will star in AND produce the fifth installment of the action movie franchise.
Paramount Pictures announced the news earlier today, pleasing fans of the franchise with the fact that daredevil special agent Ethan Hunt, who is charged with a variety of assignments by the shadowy Impossible Missions Force, will be back in full force sometime soon.
Tom Cruise has also been approached to star in the movie remake of The Man From U.N.C.L.E (WENN)
It remains unclear as to whether sidekicks Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton and Simon Pegg will return alongside Tom but, based on the fact that Ghost Protocol was the highest-grossing film in the series, it seems producers will be keen to reprise the cast for that winning formula once again.
Cruise fans will also be pleased to hear that, according to Deadline, a sequel to his 2013 film Jack Reacher, the big-screen adaptation of Lee Child's popular series of books, is also in the works.
In short, it seems as if 2014 will see Tom Cruise kicking more butts and foiling more evil plans than ever before - are you excited to see Mission Impossible 5?
